Studio Rules

  • Expectations

It is expected that everyone who chooses to use this space observes these guidelines.

Failure to adhere to our policies and guidelines will result in the termination of your reservation and can result in an indefinite ban.

    Length of Use

Your reservation starts and ends at the times specified on your confirmation. If you go over your time, you will be charged $65 every 30 minutes.

    Cancellation

Refunds are not permitted, but if you can’t make you’re shoot, you can reschedule your booking for another date, granted that you provide a minimum of 24-hour notice. Cancellations within a 24-hour window will not be eligible for rescheduling. If you need to reschedule your booking, please email us at info@kkcommunications.ca.

    Access

Please enter through the front door! A member of our team will be available to let you in. Please remove shoes upon entry.

    Drugs and Alcohol

Alcohol and smoking (including vaping) of any kind is prohibited within the space or in the sheltered entry way at the front and rear of the building.

    Noise Levels

Shooting with music? Uhh, YES! We also love to have music going when we shoot, but please be mindful that we are located in a residential area, where families live nearby. Our studio is not soundproof, so keep noise levels down, and refrain from playing explicit music.

What NOT to bring & shoot

This studio cannot be used to shoot nudity, boudoir photography or pornography of any kind.

Dry ice, fog machines and glitter is not permitted in the studio. Seriously guys, no glitter!!

This feels pretty obvious, but no weapons including (but not limited to) guns or knives in the studio space.

Please do not light candles or have any open flame during your shoot. Don’t burn our studio down, that would be super embarrassing and expensive for you.

Respect the furniture (it was expensive!)

Please do not stand on any of the furniture, or wear outdoor shoes inside. As you’ll notice, we have lots of white and cream carpets, furniture and props, so help us keep it clean!

To move heavier pieces of furniture, we ask that you lift it, as opposed to drag it. If you require assistance, please ask the associate to help!

If there are damages to the floor, furniture, studio equipment, or props, you will be asked to reimburse the cost of the damages.

You CAN eat, but we do ask you do so only in the kitchen area, and not on our white couch. We beg you - not the white couch.

    Pet Rule

We love pets, you love pets, but the white furniture in this house does NOT love pets. Please do not bring your pets to the shoot. If you have a specific vision and you NEED your pet there, please contact our team prior, and we can let you know if it’s possible to make an exception.

If you show up with a pet without letting us know, we do reserve the right to cancel your booking without a refund.

    Equipment

We do not offer any photography equipment, such as lights or tripods. Please come prepared with your own equipment. We do, however, have props around the house that you can use!

  • Please ensure that all garbage, gear, and personal belongings are packed up before your booking time ends.

A staff member will be on-site during your shoot (don’t worry, we won’t be in the way!), and will inspect the studio 10-minutes before your departure. If our staff finds a messy room or damages, you will be charged an additional $75-100 cleaning fee.

You are expected to return all furniture to its original place. Please lift heavy furniture, and do not drag it across the floor.

If there are damages to any of the furniture, props, floor, walls or equipment, you will be liable and must reimburse the studio. Broken furniture fee is dependant on the piece, and if the piece is damaged beyond repair, you will be charged the cost of that piece (and yes, we have the receipts).

If you stain any of the carpets, beds, furniture or couch, you will be charged a deep cleaning fee of $300-$500.

We don’t want to charge you, and we know you don’t want to pay for cleaning or damaged furniture, so please treat the studio with care and respect, and we’ll be good to go.
